Purpose

The purpose of this study is to learn about the relationship between senior and junior designers as well as their motivations, behaviors and pain points when communicating with one another. We need to get an understanding of this in order to know if our project's scope and direction is accurate. This research will also help us when come up with ideas.

Hypothesis

• Senior Designers and Junior Designers collaborate in the form of critique and evaluation.
• Junior Designers mainly does most of the work and gets critique from Senior Designers on which part to modify and iterate.
• Communication between the designers are harder when moved to online mainly because there is a lack of 3D sketch annotation tool.
• Both designers do not use the annotation tools for Alias and Vred
• Both designers use Photoshop as annotation tools
• Junior Designers usually work alone and only approach senior designers for feedback
• Junior Designers find it hard to communicate their ideas because their sketches need bigger space to present.
• Junior Designers find it hard to communicate their 3D models because there is no physical prototype and it is harder to show it through zoom
• Senior Designers find it harder to critique 3D models because there is no sense of scale
